Writer and marketer.

Well, hello!

Hi there, I’m Lisa Marie – your friendly, late-blooming bestie. A personal development coach passionate about helping midlifers transform their lives through mindset shifts and empowerment.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to see the world, write a book, and be my own boss. But like so many people, I also heard the dreaded words, “It’s too late for you.” Well, let me tell you – I wasn’t about to let that stop me.

As a personal development coach, I work with individuals navigating change. Over the past 26 years, I’ve built a vibrant career as a writer, marketer, and creative. Along the way, I’ve also been a serial blogger for 14 years. Navigated the ever-changing social media landscape for over a decade, and even spent 2 years teaching. And oh yeah, I’m also a Sagittarius, an introvert, a self-proclaimed information addict, and an avid home cook and world traveler.

My winding path hasn’t always been easy. But I’m here to tell you that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. If you find yourself in the “middle season” of life, wondering if you’ve missed your chance – trust me, you haven’t. Embrace courage and curiosity to blossom into the person you’re meant to be. I’m living proof that it’s possible.

So pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea, and let’s chat. I’m here as your blooming late bestie. Ready to inspire, motivate, and above all, show you that it’s not too late to rewrite your story. Whether you’re starting a new chapter or need guidance, I bring my skills as a personal development coach to help you feel empowered.

So, how did I get here?

Well, it certainly wasn’t a straight line to happiness – and if I’m being honest, it hardly ever is for anyone. Growing up, I used to be shy, stuck, and downright miserable. Fear, lack of confidence and self-esteem held me back from truly living. Then in 2017, everything changed when my father unexpectedly passed away. The grief I felt was almost physically overwhelming – I was sinking and floating without any sense of direction.

In the midst of that darkness, a single question kept echoing in my mind: “Is this really all there is to life? Surely it should have more meaning and purpose.” You see, I had always dabbled in spiritual practices, but up until that point, they had just felt like going through the motions. After one too many uneventful days, I decided it was time to take responsibility for changing the trajectory of my life.

The first step?

Focusing on my nutrition. I had no idea where to begin, so I simply grabbed a cookbook that belonged to my brother-in-law and started religiously following the recipes. Once I got into a good meal prep rhythm, I moved on to the next area of focus: movement and mindset.
This was a dual effort – I craved structure and routine, so I dove into books like “The 5 AM Club” to overhaul my mornings. I started waking up early to meditate, journal, do yoga, and feed my mind with positive affirmations. The results were nothing short of astounding – I lost 20 kilos, gained a profound sense of self-confidence, and shifted my mindset from one of scarcity to unstoppable growth.

Taking control of those key areas of my life had a powerful ripple effect. Soon, I was also making intentional choices about my spiritual practices, incorporating daily morning prayers. And it was during one of those prayers that I decided to write a letter to God, asking him to send me a partner to share my life with.

A few years later, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, that prayer was answered in the most unexpected way. I reconnected with an old school friend on social media, and after 18 months of an online relationship, we finally met in person. The connection was undeniable, and within the same month, we got engaged. Eight months later, we were married.

Through all the ups and downs, one thing has become crystal clear: it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. With courage, commitment, and an unshakable belief in your own potential, you can blossom into the person you were always meant to be. And that, my friends, is exactly what I’m here to help you do.
